Buyer's guide

What to look at when choosing studio and booking software for Pilates.

There is no single tool that suits everyone. How many instructors you have, whether you sell packages or memberships, how many reformers you run and how clients pay all change the answer. We make one of these tools, so we also spell out where Corenta does not fit.

Start by writing down how you work

  • How many instructors and branches do you have, and what will that look like in a year?
  • Do you sell packages, auto-renewing memberships or both?
  • Is group capacity set by your number of reformers, and do clients need to pick their own machine?
  • What is your cancellation rule: how many hours ahead, and is a late cancel charged as a session?
  • Should clients pay online, or do they pay at the studio by cash, transfer or card terminal?
  • Which channel should reminders use: app notifications, SMS, WhatsApp?
  • What do you need from the software for invoicing and accounting?

Questions to ask the vendor

  • Is a session credit used when the booking is made or when the class ends?
  • Can a client freeze a package, and are frozen days added to the expiry date?
  • How does the waitlist work on a full class, and what happens when a spot opens?
  • How are instructor earnings calculated, and who can see them?
  • Who moves my client list and package balances, how long does it take and what does it cost?
  • Where is my data stored, and what can I export if I leave?

How Corenta answers these questions

  • A session credit is used when the booking is made, not when the class ends. Remaining credits and every movement show on the client record.
  • You set the cancellation window. Cancelling within it returns the credit; after it, whether the credit is used depends on your setting.
  • Group classes track capacity and attendees separately; once full, no new bookings are taken.
  • A client can freeze a package for the number of days they choose, and those days are added to the expiry date. An admin can extend an active package by 1 to 365 days.
  • We do the move. We bring your client list and package balances into your account within 24 hours of receiving the file, at no charge.
  • The web panel exports clients, calendar and finance data as CSV.
  • New studios start with 14 free days, and no credit card is asked for.

Who Corenta is not for

  • You want clients to pay online. In Corenta clients cannot pay in the app or through a link; you record payments by hand as cash, bank transfer or card terminal.
  • You want automated SMS, WhatsApp messages or email campaigns. Reminders go out as app notifications; Corenta does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages.
  • You want your own branded app in the stores. Your clients use the shared Corenta app with your studio code.
  • You want clients to pick a reformer or a spot. That is not available today; group class capacity is a single number.
  • You need auto-renewing memberships, gift cards or retail sales. Corenta works with session packages.
  • You need e-invoicing or an accounting integration. Those are not available; you can export CSV from the web panel.
  • You need Google Calendar sync, Zoom, ClassPass-style connections or AI features. Those are not available today.
  • You want instructors to work from a computer. The web panel is for owners and admins; instructors and clients use the mobile app.
  • You expect phone or live chat support. Support is in writing.
