Mindbody alternative

Looking for a Mindbody alternative? Start here.

Mindbody serves a wide range of fitness, wellness and beauty businesses and comes with its own consumer app. Corenta looks at a narrower job: packages, sessions and bookings in Pilates, reformer and physio studios. We put the two side by side using official information.

Staying with Mindbody can make sense if you want clients to find you on a marketplace app, or you need higher-tier features such as spot booking, SMS marketing and a branded app.[1][2]

Corenta is worth a look if you run a Pilates or physio studio with up to 10 specialists and want to see the price up front and try it for 14 days without a card.

HighlightsA session credit is used when the booking is made and returned if the client cancels within the studio's cancellation window. A group class takes no new bookings once it is full.Client Pick-a-Spot and room and resource management are on Accelerate and Ultimate; email and SMS marketing and a 24/7 AI front desk are on Ultimate; a branded app is listed as an add-on for Accelerate and Ultimate.[1]

How things work in Corenta

  • A session credit is used when the booking is made, not when the class ends. Remaining credits and every movement show on the client record.
  • You set the cancellation window. Cancelling within it returns the credit; after it, whether the credit is used depends on your setting.
  • Group classes track capacity and attendees separately; once full, no new bookings are taken.
  • A client can freeze a package for the number of days they choose, and those days are added to the expiry date. An admin can extend an active package by 1 to 365 days.

Who Mindbody may suit better

  • You expect new clients to come from a marketplace app. Mindbody says its app has more than 3 million active users.[2]
  • You run beauty, spa and fitness services under one roof.[1]
  • Spot booking, SMS campaigns and a branded app are must-haves. Mindbody lists them on its Accelerate and Ultimate plans.[1]
  • On the other hand, if you are a one-person instructor renting shared space, Mindbody's own FAQ says it may not be a good match.[1]

Who Corenta is not for

  • You want clients to pay online. In Corenta clients cannot pay in the app or through a link; you record payments by hand as cash, bank transfer or card terminal.
  • You want automated SMS, WhatsApp messages or email campaigns. Reminders go out as app notifications; Corenta does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages.
  • You want your own branded app in the stores. Your clients use the shared Corenta app with your studio code.
  • You want clients to pick a reformer or a spot. That is not available today; group class capacity is a single number.
  • You need auto-renewing memberships, gift cards or retail sales. Corenta works with session packages.
  • You need e-invoicing or an accounting integration. Those are not available; you can export CSV from the web panel.
  • You need Google Calendar sync, Zoom, ClassPass-style connections or AI features. Those are not available today.
  • You want instructors to work from a computer. The web panel is for owners and admins; instructors and clients use the mobile app.
  • You expect phone or live chat support. Support is in writing.

Moving from Mindbody

  • We do the move. We bring your client list and package balances into your account within 24 hours of receiving the file, at no charge.
  • If you prefer to do it yourself, your Excel or CSV file brings in clients, package balances, upcoming appointments and past payments, up to 20,000 rows per file. Health information is never imported.
  • The web panel exports clients, calendar and finance data as CSV.

We do not move appointment or payment history. Keep the export from your old system for your records.
