At a class price of 30, both models pay the same. Above it the percentage model pays more; below it the fixed rate does.

How it is calculated

  • Monthly class revenue = price per class × classes per month
  • Percentage model = class revenue × rate / 100
  • Fixed model = pay per class × classes per month
  • Break-even price = pay per class × 100 / rate

Reading the result

  • If your class price is above the break-even price, the percentage model pays the instructor more. In months with discounts, a fixed rate protects the instructor.
  • Tax, payroll costs and cancelled classes are not included. Ask your accountant about payroll.
  • For group classes, enter the total revenue of the class instead of a single price.

How this works in Corenta

  • A completed class becomes the instructor's earning, and your cancellation and no-show rule applies to pay as well.
  • You choose a percentage or a fixed rate per instructor. Paid earnings are locked.
  • You decide person by person who sees the money and who records payments.

Questions people ask

Pay instructors per class or a percentage

How do studios pay pilates instructors?

The two common ways are a percentage of class revenue or a fixed amount per class. This calculator shows both for the same month side by side.

Which model is fairer?

There is no single answer. A percentage moves with your prices; a fixed rate does not. The break-even price shows at which class price both models pay the same.

Do instructors get paid for cancelled classes?

This calculator does not count cancellations. In Corenta a completed class becomes an earning, and cancelled classes follow your studio's cancellation rule.
