Buyer's guide
What to look at when choosing software for your physio clinic.
Choosing physio software is about more than bookings. Who can write health details, how notes are kept and how packages and group sessions work shape your day. We make one of these tools, so we also spell out where Corenta does not fit.
Clinical questions to ask
- Who can write a client's health details and who can only read them? Can an admin see everything?
- Are session notes free text or structured templates? Can a submitted note be changed later?
- Is the intake form fixed, or can you build your own?
- Can you track pain scores and measurements over time? How do home programmes reach the client?
- Do you need telehealth sessions or insurance billing?
Business questions to ask
- If you sell session packages, when is a credit used and what happens on cancellation?
- Do group sessions such as clinical Pilates run in the same software?
- What makes the price go up? Cliniko steps up by practitioner count; Jane App prices the plan and extra practitioner licenses separately.[1][2]
- Is there a trial? Cliniko offers 30 days without payment details; Jane App offers demos instead of a free trial.[1][2]
- Which country is your data stored in, and what process is proposed for your data protection obligations?
Pricing models on the market

| Product | Pricing model shown on the official page |
|---|---|
| Cliniko | Priced by practitioner count: 1 practitioner $45 a month, 2–5 $95, 6–8 $145, 9–12 $195. Every feature is on every plan; SMS is 10 cents per message.[1] |
| Jane App | Balance $59 (20 appointments a month), Practice $79 and Thrive $99 monthly; extra practitioner licenses are charged separately. Packages and memberships and automated waitlist management are on Thrive.[2] |
| Vagaro | One location is $23.99 a month for the first 6 months, then $30; each bookable calendar license is $10. 30-day trial, no cancellation fee (exclusions apply).[3] |
| Fresha | When we checked, the pricing page showed $19.95 a month for a one-person business and $14.95 per bookable team member a month (excluding local taxes; amounts may vary by country). 7-day trial, no commitment. New clients from the Fresha marketplace carry a one-time 20% commission (minimum $6); returning clients do not.[4] |
| Mindbody | The pricing page lists a starting price of $79 per location per month. Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate are priced through a sales conversation.[5] |
How Corenta answers these questions
- On the clinical side there are measurements (weight, height, VAS, pain location, sleep, body composition), home exercises, a free-text session note that cannot change once submitted, and a fixed intake form.
- A session credit is used when the booking is made, not when the class ends. Remaining credits and every movement show on the client record.
- You set the cancellation window. Cancelling within it returns the credit; after it, whether the credit is used depends on your setting.
- Group classes track capacity and attendees separately; once full, no new bookings are taken.
- A client can freeze a package for the number of days they choose, and those days are added to the expiry date. An admin can extend an active package by 1 to 365 days.
- New studios start with 14 free days, and no credit card is asked for.
Who Corenta is not for
- You need structured SOAP notes, a form builder, an exercise video library or telehealth sessions. Notes are free text and the intake form is fixed.
- You want clients to pay online. In Corenta clients cannot pay in the app or through a link; you record payments by hand as cash, bank transfer or card terminal.
- You need e-invoicing or an accounting integration. Those are not available; you can export CSV from the web panel.
- You want automated SMS, WhatsApp messages or email campaigns. Reminders go out as app notifications; Corenta does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages.
- You need Google Calendar sync, Zoom, ClassPass-style connections or AI features. Those are not available today.
- You want instructors to work from a computer. The web panel is for owners and admins; instructors and clients use the mobile app.
- You expect phone or live chat support. Support is in writing.
